Raloxifene Hydrochloride 60mg is a SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) prescribed to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. For male athletes and, specifically bodybuilders, Raloxifene can used to treat Gynecomastia. Raloxifene has been shown to be highly effective at treating immature gynecomastia in patients at a dose of 60-120mg everyday. Raloxifene is offered preferred over other SERMs such as Nolvadex as it has a more mild side effect profile while being equally or more effective in treating gynecomastia. Raloxifene may be taken either “on” or “off” of cycle, and it is best to begin taking Raloxifene at first onset of any gynecomastia symptoms. A common dosage protocol is 60mg everyday for 30-90 days. Doses of up to 120mg per day are not uncommon, and it is recommended that the patient continues to take Raloxifene for at least one or two weeks after gynecomastia symptoms appear to resolve themselves.
